Open Computer Use wraps local desktop automation as a standard MCP server so AI agents and MCP clients can inspect apps, click, type, scroll, drag, and capture screenshots across macOS, Linux, and Windows. It is open source, npm-installable, and includes helpers to install into Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, and opencode.
